Rudy was a loving father and husband. He was born in October of 1951 to Phyllis and Rudolph. He grew up in Marine Park, Brooklyn. He married Joann in 1976 and had two children, Joey and Dianna.

Rudy held many jobs in his life- from working at Carvel to truck driving to supermarket manager. He also had a video game and vending business and created and sold a successful car service company.

In his spare time he enjoyed playing poker both online and at his beloved Midget Squadron Yacht Club where he held many offices over the years including that of Commodore. He also enjoyed boating and treasured the times he was able to take his boat out in recent years.

Unfortunately the last years of his life were sad and difficult. His son Joey became very ill in 2009 and was left unable to walk and mostly bed-bound after a long hospitalization. When Joey returned home Rudy helped Joann take care of him. It was not long however that Rudy began having serious medical issues of his own. He soon needed regular dialysis and after several hospitalizations he was left too weak to walk or make his regular trips into Brooklyn. Ultimately complications from dialysis and several severe infections cost him his life in December 2011.

He is survived by his children, his wife, his mother, his brother, his sister, and their families.
